Terms of Service
The rules and guidelines that govern your use of the Solar Partner platform and services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Solar Partner platform, including all associated websites, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of any updates to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account, browsing, or using any feature of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Platform Overview
Solar Partner is a digital marketplace that connects three types of users:
- Installers: Certified solar panel installation professionals who browse and accept jobs.
- Brands: Solar equipment manufacturers and distributors who create incentive programs and publish announcements.
- Shopkeepers: Businesses and individuals who post solar installation jobs and hire installers.
The Platform facilitates job posting, installer matching, escrow payment processing, and dispute resolution. Solar Partner acts as an intermediary and is not a party to any agreement between users.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts to use this Platform.
3.2 Registration Requirements
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate.
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
- Immediately notify us of any unauthorized access at security@solarpartner.pk.
3.3 Account Status
New accounts are created with "pending" status. Installers require KYC approval; Brands require domain verification. Accounts may be suspended, deactivated, or terminated at our discretion.
4. User Roles & Responsibilities
4.1 Installer Responsibilities
- Complete KYC verification by providing valid CNIC documentation.
- Provide accurate information about skills, experience, and availability.
- Complete accepted jobs in a professional and timely manner.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain valid bank or mobile wallet information for receiving payments.
4.2 Brand Responsibilities
- Verify ownership of the domain associated with the brand.
- Provide accurate information about incentive programs, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.
- Ensure uploaded manuals and documents are accurate and up-to-date.
- Approve installer payouts for jobs completed under brand programs.
4.3 Shopkeeper Responsibilities
- Provide accurate job descriptions, budgets, and locations.
- Fund escrow accounts before posting jobs.
- Review installer applications and hire qualified professionals.
- Release escrow payments upon satisfactory job completion.
- Resolve disputes in good faith through the Platform's dispute process.
5. Jobs & Escrow Payments
5.1 Job Posting
Shopkeepers may post jobs with a specified budget. Upon posting, the budget amount is held in escrow via our payment partner (PayFast). Funds remain locked until the job is completed and payment is released.
5.2 Payment Processing
- Escrow funds are released to the installer's wallet upon shopkeeper confirmation of job completion.
- Installers may withdraw funds from their wallet to their linked bank account or mobile wallet.
- All transactions are subject to PayFast's terms and applicable fees.
- Solar Partner may deduct a platform fee from transactions as disclosed during the posting process.
5.3 Disputes
If a shopkeeper and installer disagree on job completion, either party may raise a dispute. Solar Partner administrators will review the dispute and may: refund the shopkeeper, pay the installer, split the escrow amount, or take no action.
Escrow Protection: Funds held in escrow are protected and will be disbursed according to the Platform's dispute resolution process. Neither party can unilaterally withdraw escrowed funds.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Post fake jobs, apply for jobs you do not intend to complete, or manipulate ratings.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
- Scrape, crawl, or access the Platform using automated means (except for legitimate API usage).
- Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code to the Platform.
- Share another user's personal information without their consent.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass any security measures or access controls.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Platform Content
The Platform's design, logo, content, software, and code are owned by Solar Partner and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7.2 User Content
By uploading content (job descriptions, manuals, announcements, profile photos), you grant Solar Partner a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.
7.3 Trademarks
"Solar Partner" and associated logos are trademarks of Solar Partner. Other trademarks appearing on the Platform are the property of their respective owners.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Solar Partner is an intermediary platform and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of jobs posted, work performed, or payments made between users.
- We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include:
- Violation of these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
- Fraudulent, illegal, or harmful conduct.
- Repeated poor performance, low ratings, or unresolved disputes.
- Failure to complete KYC or domain verification within a reasonable timeframe.
- Extended inactivity (accounts inactive for 12+ months may be deactivated).
Upon termination, your right to access the Platform will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (e.g., liability limitations, dispute resolution).
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between you and Solar Partner shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Pakistan. The arbitration shall take place in Karachi, Pakistan.
You agree that any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
